The SIHH 2014 presentation by Officine Panerai unveiled six new Luminor Base 8-Day watches which feature a manual wound calibre P.5000 with an 8-day power reserve. This calibre combines two characteristics that have been a part of Panerai watch mechanics since their very first models were created for the Italian Navy commandos: manual winding and an 8-day power reserve.
These Panerai Luminor watches come with a case measuring 44mm in diameter and all models except the PAM 590 are fitted with a display case back allowing unobstructed view of the beautifully finished calibre. All new models feature the sandwich dial, except for the white dial versions.
