The 43mm Rolex Sea Dweller is an outstanding achievement in watch design with its outstanding waterproofness system to a depth of an amazing 4000 feet. Designed in collaboration with professional divers, the Sea Dweller is built with the Rolex Oystersteel superalloy to withstand the corrosion from sea water while maintaining an exceptional finish.
The Rolex Sea Dweller 43mm has a triple waterproofness system built into its screw-down winding crown. The timepiece is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The black dial provides extreme visibility for the luminescent hour markers provided by large Chromalight luminescent material which emits a long-lasting blue glow for legibility in dark conditions. Each hour marker is coated with a thin layer of platinum.
The Oyster bracelet is also in Oystersteel, and it is fitted with an Oysterlock safety clasp that prevents accidental opening. A double extension system allows adjustments to be made without tools and provides divers the ability to adjust the bracelet to fit the Sea Dweller on top of diver suits using an ingenious fliplock extension link. The ceramic bezel rotates in one direction, enabling divers to precisely and safely monitor dive and decompression times.
The caliber 3235 movement is a new generation of the Rolex automatic which provides an enhanced 70 hours of power reserve. This is a significant improvement over earlier calibers, with almost double the power – up from 40 hours. This significant improvement gives the diver approximately 3 days of power reserve without daily wear, since it will automatically self-wind with normal daily use.
Rubber B has developed two beautiful bracelets for the Rolex Sea Dweller 43mm Reference 126600 which are engineered to be tough, comfortable and able to withstand the rigors of professional divers. Both bands provide a sleek black exterior that matches the black dial and black bezel of the Rolex Sea Dweller. However, the Vulcromatic band adds some flair to the mix, while fusing a red inner band perfectly to the black outer band. The red racing stripe is visible as it is worn, but does not overwhelm the classic black look of the outer band.
The Rubber B bands for the Rolex Sea Dweller support the original folding clasp provided by Rolex, so divers can combine the powerful Rolex clasp and extension fit system with the beauty and comfort of the vulcanized rubber band. The Rubber B band is infused with strength infusion technology which provides upgraded support for the friction of frequent micro-adjustments made by divers utilizing the Rolex Glidelock Clasp. Carbon fiber molecules are fused within the vulcanized rubber during the mould process.
All of Rubber B bands are Made in Switzerland of pure vulcanized rubber, utilizing no coating, blends or bonding.
