The quintessential dive watch, the Submariner is arguably Rolex’s most popular wristwatch model. It is waterproof up to a depth of 300 meters and features a rotatable 60-minute graduated bezel that allows the wearer to monitor their time underwater. The Sub was originally introduced in 1953 and was the first watch that was waterproof to a depth of 100 meters.
The popularity of the Submariner model has inspired many other watchmakers to emulate its design. One way to set your Sub apart from others is to replace its Oyster bracelet with a vulcanized rubber strap, like the Red Devil strap shown in the photo above. All Rubber B straps are made in Switzerland using the highest quality vulcanized rubber on the market. We use ‘blocked integration’ engineering to create a flush mount on the case of the watches our straps are designed for.
The elevated density composite we use for our straps provides superior resistance to damage from exposure to environmental elements such as ozone, uv, salt water and perspiration. We do not use any blending or coating on our straps, so their colors will not fade over time. They are smooth and elastic, conforming to the shape of the wearer’s wrist for a comfortable fit.
The combination of all of these attributes creates what we call ‘The Ultimate Rubber Strap’ for Rolex. We have also applied this technology to vulcanized rubber straps designed for Patek Philippe and Panerai watches. To shop our entire line of watch straps, visit our e-Boutique at rubberb.com.
