Six Stunning Alternative Straps for the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 41mm on Alligator Strap

Rubber B Alternative Straps for the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak inspiration started Nearly a century and a half ago, in 1875, Jules Louis Audemars and Edward August Piguet pooled their skills to design and produce timepieces in the heart of the Valley de Joux, the cradle of the finest watchmaking in the world.  Almost a hundred years later, in 1972, Audemars Piguet designed the highly successful Sports watch Royal Oak.

The Reference #15400OR.OO.D088CR.01 pictured above has an 18 carat pink gold screw-down case, and a glare-proofed sapphire crystal on the front and back.  It is a 41 mm wide case with a 9.8 thickness. It is waterproof to 150 feet.  The dial has a silver-toned “Grande Tapisserie” pattern with pink gold hour-markers with luminescent coating.  The 12 o’clock position has a dual hour marker, distinguishing the top of the hour position from the other markers, especially in dark situations.

The Reference #15400OR.OO.D088CR.01 has a date window at 3 o’clock, and an hour, minute and seconds hands which match the hour markers in pink gold with lum coating.  This “Sports Watch” is notable for its hand-stitched brown alligator strap, which compliments the pink gold to perfection.  This exquisite timepiece is powered by a bidirectional self-winding caliber 3120 with 40 jewels and an oscillating weight monobloc in 22 carat gold.  The movement is visible through the backside crystal window on the opposite side of the front face.  It sports a 60 hour power reserve.
