The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli – Automatic Skeleton – Reference RDDBEX0617 was made in exclusive partnership with Pirelli – the world pioneeer in technical and industrial innovations and supplier of tires to motorsports competitions. Drawing from the famous color codes of Pirelli, the reference RDDBEX0617 utilizes tread motifs from the Pirelli Cinterurato intermediate tire.
This timepiece was produced in limited edition with only 88 pieces ever produced. It is stamped with the Poinçon de Genève seal exhibiting the most demanding and strictest criteria for quality and craftsmanship. Of the 20 million watches produced in Switzerland, only 24,000 bear the Hallmark of Geneva guarantee. 170 hours of work are devoted just to acquiring this certification.
The RDDBEX0617 is powered by a RD820SQ Automatic skeleton micro-rotor. It is made with 167 components, 35 jewels and beats at 4 hz or 28,800 vph. It is made with charcoal grey rhodium-plated and is embellished with circular-grained plates and Poinçon de Genève finishings. All faces of the parts are individually hand-finished. This self-winding mechanical caliber has a power reserve of 60 hours. It supports a water resistance of 50 meters.
The 45mm case of this timepiece is made with black DLC Titanium. It comes with a black rubber strap with Pirelli special tyre inlay and a titanium black DLC adjustable folding clasp.
This timepiece is exceptionally stylish utilizing the Pirelli red in touches throughout the edge of the bezel, on the winding crown and on the hour and minutes hands. Luminescent hour markers and on the hands provide visibility in darkness. Rubber B collaborated with Roger Dubuis to design the official bracelet collection for the RDDBEX0617. This Vulcanized Rubber strap is specifically engineered for the 45mm case and deployment clasp with the “quick-release” system. All Rubber B straps are made in Switzerland utilizing pure, natural vulcanized rubber with no coatings or blends.
The engineered blocked integration creates a rotation-free mount. The strap can also integrate perfectly with the original Roger Dubuis deployant buckle.
