Joe Rogan is one of the most visible and controversial figures in America. Whether you love him or hate him, almost everyone has an opinion on Rogan and his massively successful podcast. Rogan has come a long way in his career since his humble beginning as a stand-up comic in Boston in the late 1980s.

Rogan is now one of the biggest stars in the world, with an audience of 11 million people per episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. This would lead to Spotify acquiring the exclusive podcast rights to his show for an unprecedented $200 million. This would lead to Rogan becoming one of the wealthiest men in the world and ensure that his podcast would have a home for years to come.

With that kind of net worth, it should not come as a surprise that Rogan has a fairly extensive collection of luxury watches. Below, we will learn more about the life, career, and watch collection of America’s most famous podcaster.

Who Is Joe Rogan?

Joseph James Rogan was born on August 11, 1967, in Newark, New Jersey. Coincidentally, he is the cousin of Gerard and Mikey Way from the band My Chemical Romance. His parents divorced when he was five due to his father’s emotional instability. The family would move around to various places over the next several years, including to Florida, before finally setting in Massachusetts.

Rogan played Little League Baseball as a child but soon found himself passionately interested in martial arts. At age 15, he would begin taking taekwondo lessons. He would later win the U.S. Open Championship at age 19. He would compete competitively for two more years but retired at 21 due to injury.

Joe Rogan’s Early Comedy Career

Rogan would begin doing stand-up in the late 1980s, performing his first set in Boston on August 27, 1988. He had not ever considered doing comedy professionally, but his sparring partners told him he was funny and convinced him to try it. Rogan held various jobs during this time, including karate instructor and limousine driver. Eventually, he was spotted by talent manager Jeff Sussman, who convinced Rogan to let him represent him. By 1990, Rogan was living in New York and working as a full-time comedian.

NewsRadio and Mainstream Success

In the mid-1990s, Rogan would begin acting on the sitcom NewsRadio. This would lead to him gaining national exposure for the first time. He grew particularly close with cast member Phil Hartman, who was the show’s lead. Tragically, Hartman was killed by his wife in a domestic dispute in 1998. The loss of his friend would go on to affect Rogan immensely for some time, and he took a hiatus from stand-up as a result.

Fear Factor and The Joe Rogan Experience

In 1997, Rogan would begin working as a fight commentator for UFC, thus further increasing his visibility. He would continue to work on various projects until 2001 when he would begin hosting Fear Factor. The game show would prove to be wildly successful with both domestic and international audiences.

He would eventually step away from television and focus on making several comedy specials in the early 2000s. In December 2009, Rogan would begin The Joe Rogan Experience. It is now the most downloaded podcast in the United States.

Rogan currently lives in Austin, Texas, where he continues to podcast and recently purchased a comedy club as well.

Rogan owns a number of luxury wristwatches but is especially fond of Rolexes. Some of his pieces include the following:

Joe Rogan Watch Rolex Yacht-Master 40

Joe Rogan’s love of Rolex is obvious, especially when he wore the now-discontinued Rolex Yacht-Master 40 Ref. 16622. This timepiece, which features a platinum bezel on a steel sports watch, embodies the Yacht-Master’s signature monochromatic allure. It has a distinct aesthetic, unlike the Submariner or GMT-Master II. The Rolex Yacht-Master 40 Ref. 16622 is currently available on the secondary market for around $10,000 to $12,000 USD.

Joe Rogan Watch Rolex Submariner No Date 41mm 124060 – 2022

Rogan’s preference for tough steel Rolex tool watches is obvious. Along with the Yacht-Master, he loves the ageless charm of the classic Rolex Submariner, undoubtedly Rolex’s most renowned watch. Rogan’s Submariner is available in two types, with or without a date, and proudly displays the no-date version. This Submariner, which retails for $8,950 USD, symbolizes timeless style and craftsmanship.

Rolex’s DeepSea Sea-Dweller, the brand’s largest dive watch, has been spotted on Joe Rogan. It can survive incredible depths of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet) thanks to its pioneering Ringlock technology and outstanding waterproofing. Notably, Rogan appears to be wearing the limited edition James Cameron model, which features a compelling gradient dial going from blue to black. The Rolex DeepSea Sea-Dweller James Cameron edition sells for almost $17,000 USD on the secondary market.

The classic Rolex Daytona, with his choice being the white gold Rolex Daytona Ref. 116509, rounds off Rogan’s collection. Although this model is no longer available, it has a distinct aesthetic. Its numerals distinguish it from traditional stick indices, and the dark grey dial with red subdials and chronograph hands radiates a powerful racing-inspired look. The Rolex Daytona Ref. 116509 is currently available on the grey market for about $60,000 and $70,000 USD.

Joe Rogan Watch Breitling SuperOcean Heritage 46

Joe Rogan Watch Collection

The appeal of the Breitling Superocean Heritage line has always captivated me, particularly its timeless style accentuated by Breitling’s characteristic mesh bracelet. I had no idea there was a larger version of this iconic timepiece: the Breitling Superocean Heritage 46. While the watch is usually available in a 42mm size, Joe Rogan has a 46mm version, which adds to its dominating presence. Rogan’s Breitling is a popular option among collectors, because of its striking sunburst blue dial and matching blue bezel. The retail price of the Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 is $5,450 USD.

Joe Rogan wore the Omega Seamaster 300m James Bond 007 2020 Edition to show his love for the James Bond franchise. This watch is similar to the one worn by Daniel Craig in the 2020 James Bond film “No Time to Die.” Aside from its connection to 007, the watch itself emanates ageless charm. The classic tan hands and indices offer an element of vintage charm. Omega also outfitted it with a fantastic mesh bracelet reminiscent of the Breitling Superocean Heritage. The Omega Seamaster 300m James Bond 007 2020 Edition cost $9,200 USD at retail.

Joe Rogan Watch Omega Speedmaster MoonWatch MoonPhase

Joe Rogan Watch Collection

While a MoonPhase feature may not be necessary for those on the moon, it surely adds charm for those of us on Earth. Joe Rogan has been photographed wearing an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch with a MoonPhase complication. In addition to the MoonPhase display, this watch offers a reliable chronograph function, which is shared by all Moonwatch models. The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonphase is available for $10,700 USD.

Joe Rogan Watch Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronograph

Joe Rogan Watch Collection

Rogan wears the original Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronograph in addition to his moonphase Speedmaster. This clock pays tribute to the original Speedmasters that went to the moon, with modern enhancements and stylings. In contrast to the scratch-prone hesalite crystal, Rogan’s watch has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. This wristwatch, like the original Moonwatch, requires manual winding. The Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronograph costs $6,350 USD at retail.
