The Sky-Dweller offers travelers the most comprehensive date and 24-hour functions of any watch in Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual collection. Its Saros annual calendar displays the month through 12 apertures above each hour marker and only requires an adjustment once a year on March 1st to account for the short month of February. Unlike other timepieces with a 24-hour display, this one uses a rotating off-center disc and Ring Command bezel to set the reference time.
Powered by a calibre 9001 manufactured in-house by the watchmaker, this remarkable watch has a power reserve of 72 hours with a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing. It is only available in precious metal configurations with either an Oyster bracelet or leather strap. The white gold Sky-Dweller shown in the photo above is equipped with a VulChromatic Rubber B strap. Its Red Devil accent color pics up the red design details on the display.
Available in several colors and styles in our e-Boutique, our Swiss made vulcanized rubber straps for the Rolex Sky-Dweller are micro-callibrated to achieve full ‘blocked integration’ with the case. This creates a flush mount with no gaps or movement. The strap also uses the deployant clasp that comes on the original alligator leather strap (not compatible with Oyster bracelet configurations). What results is a rubber strap configuration that retains the integrity of the timepiece but offers the wearer more security and comfort.
