Over the last several years, May 4th has become something of an informal holiday, especially among “Star Wars” fans. The reason for this is because May 4th sounds very similar to “May the force…,” and “Star Wars” aficionados have seized upon the opportunity to now annually show how much they love the franchise after all these years.
In honor of what has now come to be dubbed “Star Wars Day” by many across the globe, we thought it would be fun to speculate about what kinds of watches some of your favorite characters from the franchise would wear if they were real people. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at these watches and their likely fictional counterparts.
Han Solo – IWC Big Pilot
While Luke Skywalker may be the focal point of the original trilogy of films, and the primary hero of the saga, there’s a very strong argument to be made that the series’ most beloved character is smuggler, pilot, and all-around rapscallion Han Solo, who was portrayed by Harrison Ford across six films, as well as by Ansel Elgort in a prequel film.
Considering that Solo is one of the galaxy’s most famous pilots, it seems pretty reasonable that he would wear an IWC Big Pilot.
